Keep your reptile pal nice and warm with the Zoo Med Repticare Rock Heater. Made of a hydrated rock material that is twice as strong as cement or pumice, it’s ultra-durable and conducts more heat for your pals. Because the nichrome heater is completely encapsulated, it distributes heat evenly so there are never any hot spots. It’s designed to be used as a secondary heater to help reptiles digest food, and is perfect for many medium size species of snakes and lizards like pythons, boas, kingsnakes, rat snakes, gopher snakes, bearded dragons, monitor lizards, tegus and more. Plus, it’s cUL approved for safety so it’s safe to use at home and uses only 15 watts of power.

Instructions

1) For indoor use only. Do not use outside. Not for aquatic turtle tanks or very humid terrariums.

2) Place your Repticare Rock Heater in your terrarium. Never place a Repticare Rock Heater directly under a heat lamp or heat emitter. Never place a Repticare Rock Heater above an under-tank heater. Never place in close proximity to any primary heater.

3) Plug Repticare Rock Heater in. The heater will take several hours to hear up and should feel warm to touch (rock surface temperature between 90-100 F, 32-43 C). Generally, the surface of the Repticare Rock Heater will get between 10-20 F above the ambient terrarium temperature. Note: IF you are keeping your terrarium warm (95-105 F) then please unplug your Repticare Rock heater at these temperatures.
